Pesto Pasta is one of our family’s favorite meals. It is a go to when we are entertaining and it is one of those comfort meals my kids say makes them feel loved and cozy at home.
I am excited to share this recipe with you.
I get my ingredients from Trader Joe’s but these are pretty every day ingredients. So, if you do not have a Trader Joe’s near you then just find your “go-tos” from your local store.
1 package fresh organic basil (I cut off the stems)
1 handful pine nuts
1 handful of parmesan cheese
2 gloves fresh garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tsp kosher sea salt
Layer all ingredients listed above in your food processor in the order listed. Blend to a consistency of your liking. We tend to like ours a little on the chunky side. You can also add to the amounts listed above…I literally wing mine each time I make it.
We use this on top of pasta, as a condiment for sandwiches and also as a dip. As shown here in this photo.
We use organic corn tortilla chips from Trader Joe’s. If you are not into eating corn (I limit how much I eat), there are several varieties of chips on the market today that are Corn FREE. This would also be good in a warp as well.
This is super easy to make and always a party favorite. I top my Pesto Dip with a little extra parmesan cheese as a garnish.
As a pasta sauce!!
